When the players celebrated with the fans at the end of the 142nd Ruhr derby, the scorer of the second goal was missing. Klaas-Jan Huntelaar was already undergoing an examination at the hospital by this point after sustaining an injury attempting to clear the ball in his own penalty box in the 54th minute. The diagnosis: a tear of the medial collateral ligament in his left knee.

The Dutchman is set to be sidelined for several weeks but fortunately will not need an operation. "We'd like to wish the Hunter a good recovery and hope he'll be available again soon," said captain Benedikt Höwedes on behalf of the players.
