Cruciate ligament tear for Sead Kolasinac
Left back Sead Kolasinac had to be subbed off during Schalke 04's 2-1 defeat to Hannover 96 on Saturday due to pain in his knee.
Following examinations, it has been discovered that the Bosnia-Herzegovina international has torn the ACL (anterior cruciate ligament) in his right knee.
The 21-year old will now travel to see renowned knee specialist Dr. Heinz Jürgen Eichhom in Straubing, Bavaria, and is expected to undergo surgery on Tuesday (26th August). Experience has shown that FC Schalke 04 can expect to be without Kolasinac for at least six months.
