Younes Belhanda sets sail for Orlando

Morocco international Younes Belhanda, currently of Ukrainian record champions Dynamo Kiev, is on his way to the Royal Blues’ training camp in Orlando. "He’s on his way," said sporting director Horst Heldt. The attacking midfielder is to undergo a medical in Orlando.

"If all the tests go smoothly and we complete all the paperwork, we can assume that Younes Belhanda will be with us on loan until the end of the current season," reported Heldt.

The 25-year-old became a French champion with HSC Montpellier in 2012 and was voted Ligue 1 young Player of the Year. The midfield man scored a total of 26 goals in 124 games. He then transferred to Dynamo Kiev. In two and a half years, Belhanda has played 88 games for the Ukrainian record champions. In this time, the 32-times Moroccan international scored eleven goals.

"We want to increase the competition within the squad," said manager Andre Breitenreiter. "Younes Belhanda can play attacking midfield both centrally and out wide. He is quick, dynamic and also has a good goal and assist tally."
