Derby scheduled for Sunday 19 September

The date for the derby has finally been set. Schalke will entertain Borussia Dortmund at the VELTINS Arena on Sunday 19 September (1730 CET), the German Football League (DFL) announced on Wednesday. The DFL has also scheduled all the fixtures up to and including Matchday 11.  Read more

Schalke slip to defeat in home curtain raiser

The Royal Blues failed to get the result they wanted from their opening home game, going down 2-1 to Hannover in front of a crowd of 61,226 on Saturday afternoon. The visitors took the lead though Konstantin Rausch on 31 minutes. Shortly after the restart Mohammed Abdellaoue then doubled their advantage.
